Summer Camp:
Fun abounds at our summer camps! We offer programs for all ages, beginning with our innovative Little Girls ‘n Guys camp, which introduces children 4 years old through first grade to the camp experience. Campers, accompanied by a parent or guardian, arrive on Friday evening for supper and evening activities which end with a campfire. Campers & parents spend the night in camp dorms & cabins, and awake Saturday for breakfast and a morning full of fun activities & learning. Lunch is served and camp adjourns on Saturday afternoon. Plan to register early for this popular camp! Students who will be entering second or third grade in the fall can attend our Beginners Camp, during which they spend two nights and three days at camp. All other camp sessions, for students entering fourth grade through those just-graduated from high school, are typically six days and five nights long, beginning on Sunday afternoon and ending on Friday evening. (Junior Camp--for kids entering grades 4 & 5 in the fall; Intermediate Camp--entering grades 6 &7; Junior High--entering grades 8 & 9; Senior High--entering grades 10-12 & those just graduated.) Our summer camps are staffed by individuals with a heart for youth, a desire to serve Christ and a love for the camping ministry; the Dean of each week of camp is usually a minister from one of our supporting churches; we also utilize visiting teams from Bible colleges who assist our staff. If you belong to one of Sylvan Hills supporting churches, please see your congregation's camp registrar for forms and information on registration.
